This particular BMW 3 series convertible is a 2004 04 registered vehicle with a genuine, guaranteed mileage with only 2 keepers from new initially a Doctor and then a lady keeper since 2007 from whom we acquired the car following her purchase of a new BMW. This is a 320 Ci SE automatic which offers the refinement and smoothness of a 6 cylinder engine without the fuel consumption of the larger 6 cylinder engines. Performance is more than adequate for most people's requirements and the power delivery is lovely and accompanied by a pleasant engine note which you only get with a 6 cylinder engine. The automatic gearbox is super and makes the car relaxing and comfortable to drive while offering a Sport and tiptronic function if you want to get more involved in the driving experience. This car drives beautifully and feels like a much newer vehicle such is the feeling of solidity and quality that BMW product offers.

As well as superb engines, great driving experience and overall quality the 3 series convertible was designed to be a practical car too which further contributes to its popularity. Unlike a lot of convertibles you can take rear seat passengers in comfort and even with the hood down you can fit golf clubs, bags and other items in the boot - this is a proper convertible which is also practical and therefore can be used as a main vehicle for day to day driving. As you would expect from a quality product safety and security are well taken care of with many airbags and safety features as well as an alarm and immobilisor.

The roof is really simple to use as it goes up and down with the push of a button in a matter of seconds - no annoying handles or catches to fiddle around with just push the button and the roof will go down or up without you needing to do anything else. The roof is in excellent condition on this example. The boot is a good size and if you are not planning to put the roof down you can fold away the roof storage compartment in the boot area to enlarge the boot further. Roof up or roof down this is a good looking motor vehicle and the metallic blue exterior with grey leather interior is a super colour combination.

This SE specification model offers a high level of specification on top of the fully automatic convertible roof. With the roof up even at motorway speeds the insulation inside the car is great and frankly you would be hard pushed to tell when driving this car with the roof up that it was a convertible. Heated rear screen and super quality mean this is not some kind of summer use only convertible but a practical all seasons every day car. The 2.2 litre 6 cylinder engine develops over 170bhp is more than adequate and the car will accelerate briskly and cruise all day at motorway speeds without even trying. This is the smallest of the 6 cylinder engines in the 3 series range which offers a great balance between silky smooth 6 cylinder power and overall economy and running costs. The engine and 5 speed automatic gearbox are both very, very smooth.
