WHAT PARKERS SAY ABOUT THE 3 seriesSUMMARYIn the closely fought executive market one model stands out from the rest - the BMW 3 series. Popularity has not weakened residuals even with plenty about prices are remarkably stable. ABOUT RJ53 ZTDThis particular BMW 3 series
saloon is a 2003 registered 53 plate vehicle with a genuine sensible
mileage, 2 keepers from new and a full service history which is
pretty much everything you could ask for when buying a used car.
To top that off the car is finished in lovely Mystic Blue paint
which with the factory optional extra 17" Sport alloy wheels
make it a really attractive example. SE specification is really
well specified too so you have all the specification essentials
and more. The addition of the 6CD changer in this car is also a
good feature for those who like their tunes. Fitted with the 1.8
litre 16v engine which is smooth and refined, you have enough performance
yet more than reasonable running costs with tax, insurance and economy
all better than class average for this size of car. The car is a
joy to drive with a slick gearbox, adequate power and the ability
if required to cruise all day along the motorway. Motorway cruising
is indeed pretty effortless and thanks to the cruise control on
this specification you will indeed find this type of driving very
easy. Thanks to the BMW quality everything feels really tight and
the feeling of solidity throughout the car is really impressive.
A fully adjustable seating position and a super clear dashboard
layout make the driving seat the place to be, yet passengers and
luggage will do fine too as this is a practical vehicle as well
as being a car which is actually really good to drive. The rear
parking assistance is really useful and gives a lot of confidence
when you are reversing. Thanks to a full BMW service only a few
thousand miles ago the on board indicator shows 10,000 miles until
the next service is due. The BMW service history with this car is
impressive and shows the previous lady keeper believed in looking
after her car.

Wear & Tear Summary
|
Indeed the previous owner enjoyed this car so much during their
5 years of ownership that they went back to their local BMW main
dealer and purchased another BMW from them which is a reassuring
testament to their satisfaction with the car. This BMW does drive
really well and these are impressive, well built cars and this one
is a fine example of the ultimate driving machine.CONDITION SUMMARY
Interior - The interior of this car is in really very good condition with only the most minor of evidence that is not a brand new car.Exterior - The exterior of this car is very good. As you would reasonably expect, given the vehicles age, there are some minor cosmetic imperfections. However these are really some minor marks to the alloys, the odd chip to the front panels and bonnet, a small mark to the rear bumper, slight blemish to edge of door mirrror glass and then the odd light mark/pin dent here and there. All of this is exactly what you would expect on a vehicle that is not brand new and indeed this car is way above average and a fine example. On the diagram below you can click on the red crosses to view some images of the imperfections noted above. As you can see from the photographs the car looks great and we would have to say that it is in really nice condition throughout.
Mechanical - Drives superbly everything feels really tight and solid - performance is smooth and refined. Economy and running costs will be very good too. 4 premium Continental/Dunlop tyres all with excellent tread levels shows that the previous owner went with quality over price when it came to looking after the car. Fully documented BMW service history which is extremely impressive and unusual for a car of this age to have been serviced throughout its life at BMW dealers - undoubtedly a major attraction to this particular 3 series. MOT to July 2011.
Tread Depths Note: The depth of tread on a brand new tyre is 7/8mm.
The minimum legal tread depth for a tyre is 1.6mm.
Condition Summary Note: A used car is not a new car. Every used
vehicle will have very minor evidence of previous use if you look hard
enough, such as the odd small stone chip, hairline scratch or scuff to
internal plastic. The degree of wear and tear will vary with the age and
mileage of the car. However any wear and tear that will show up in a photograph
is always presented. Our philosophy is to present the car exactly as it
is so you know what to expect when you come to view it or collect it.
