This particular Mercedes Benz CLK coupe is a nicely specified Elegance model with the superb 5 speed automatic transmission and brilliant 230Kompressor engine. This car is a 1999 registered vehicle with a genuine mileage, 2 keepers from new (the last owned the car for 8 years) and a full service history which is pretty much everything you could ask for when buying a used car. The car is finished in Azurite Blue metallic which is a lovely colour especially with the contrasting optional extra full quartz leather interior which this car has. The supercharged engine fitted to this car is the 230K unit producing 193bhp which is good enough to get to 60mph from standstill in 8.1 seconds and on to 145mph. This engine is really impressive - there is plenty of punch when you put your foot down and we were extremely impressed with the responsive nature of this engine - make no mistake this CLK will go quickly if you want it to. Easy to see why this engine is preferred over the larger V6 and V8 units as performance is really good from this engine and yet you are not paying excessively high running costs as a result of having a huge engine in the car. In our opinion the 230K engine offers the best balance between economy and performance in the CLK range. As with all Mercedes vehicles the emphasis is on driving comfort and refinement. The steering is light, the gearbox super smooth and at all times the car is quiet and composed. The ride quality is excellent and not harsh or uncomfortable in anyway. For relaxing and refined motoring you will not find a better car than this - the car has all the legendary Mercedes Benz characteristics and yet running costs and economy are manageable too - easy to see why this stylish coupe is so popular. On this particular example we have been very impressed with the driving experience - the engine is smooth and responsive and the autobox makes it such an easy car to drive. Whatever type of journey you go on this car will ensure you travel to destination in stylish automotive comfort and arrive at your destination relaxed. Elegance models in the CLK range are well specified and this particular model has some useful optional extras including the full leather interior and a CD player along with an electric sunroof. This car also has the £600 metallic paint option. Suffice to say as far as specification goes this car has all the essentials and a few bits more too. There is also an impressive number of safety features fitted as standard to the CLK including front and side airbags, which mean this car is not only a very comfortable place to be but a safe place too. The CLK is practical too with a good sized boot and the rear seats will fold down if you require more luggage space. Obviously this is not a new car however the driving experience is, in our opinion, still very impressive and the car retains a quality feel which other manufacturers simply cannot match.

There are plenty of CLK to choose from however not too many have had only one private keeper since 2002 (who part exchanged this car for another brand new one) and come with such a complete service history and full leather plus an electric sunroof. This is an impressive luxury sports coupe for not a lot of money.
